Restorative Yoga & Divine Sleep with Bitsy Merriman
Sunday October 19, 2-3:30PM
$10
REGISTER

Class starts with settling into the present moment using breath and intention setting and allowing your body ease into prop-supported poses. At the midpoint, you are guided to a resting position that suits you and you sink into a Divine Sleep, a healing practice and meditation that releases your body, breath and spirit into a thematic journey of the soul.

No experience required. This is yoga for anyone and everyone. Please wear comfortable clothes and dress in layers to ensure that you stay warm and at ease during the meditation.

Divine Sleep is the antidote to modern life and stresses and is a meditation technique that guides and relaxes you at every level of being including your physical, energetic, mental, emotional and spiritual layers (called five koshas). Through the use of breath awareness, body scanning, healing music and nature imagery, Divine Sleep invites you to become aware of each layer of being without needing to change or fix anything. This is true meditation where there is nothing to do but to ‘notice’ -- supporting you in feeling empowered and whole just as you are. This contemporary practice is based on ancient yogic wisdom and meditation to make a powerful tool for modern-day life.
Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra is a switch that turns off ‘flight or fight’ and turns on the ‘relaxation response’ -- the body’s natural healing state. This allows your body and mind the necessary time it needs to integrate, heal, slow the aging process and prevent illness. Your body knows exactly what to do to attain and maintain perfect health and equilibrium, but it is necessary to go into this state of deep relaxation for healing to happen. And Divine Sleep brings you easily, compassionately, inexpensively and swiftly into the healing state.

Kirtan: Sacred Chanting with Harmonium

Join us for an uplifting evening of kirtan—translated as “narrating, reciting, telling, describing”—a soulful practice rooted in the ancient tradition of Bhakti yoga and shared in a welcoming, modern-day space. Guided by the rich, resonant tones of the harmonium, we’ll chant sacred mantras in a call-and-response style that invites both inner stillness and joyful expression. Whether you’re brand new to chanting or a longtime devotee, this gathering offers a heart-centered opportunity to explore voice, breath, and connection in community.

No experience is needed—just bring your presence.

Kristine will lead the mantras, accompanied by Juliana on harmonium.

Sacred Rage with Amber Anderson Holbert
Sunday October 26, 2-4PM
$20

Anger is often scorned, denied, shamed, and stiffled in our culture. Yet anger is a powerful tool for transformation. When we take the time to honor our anger by seeing it for what it truly is, and offering it a seat at the table, we can alchemize anger into power.

During our time together we will be using various techniques to allow anger to come up, & move through and out of our bodies.

(Bring your journal and a pen if you have one)

The goal is to experience anger without letting it take over and camp out in your body, which causes dis-ease. Together we will cultivate effective tools to move through anger when it arises.

Amber is so excited to sit with, honor, and move through anger with you in a way that is intentional, sacred & transformative.

Tell all your friends - it’s time.
